Martin Lawrence Memorial Trust Launch Party, 18th February 2015

We held our First Trustee Meeting on January 9 formalising our structure and deciding on the first three projects to support – a Send a Cow Project in Ethiopia, The Fred Trueman National State School Cricket League and providing learning resources and equipment for the Rutland Osprey Project. Martin loved Africa and wants his ashes to be scattered in Ethiopia; he supported The Fred Trueman League and introduced it to Northamptonshire CCC and he visited the Osprey hides every day when walking Molly, and more recently Ben, and there will be a permanent memorial to Martin in the new Osprey Hide under construction.

We hope to see many friends at our LAUNCH PARTY ON 18 FEBRUARY at Level 2 of the Oxo Tower, South Bank, SE1 9PH - a fantastic venue overlooking the Thames with ticket price just £45 inclusive of drinks, canapés and bowl food, thanks to the generous support of the Concerto Group.

You can book your tickets here. You can either book online by completing a short booking form, or you can book offline by opening a PDF, completing it and returning it by post.

As this is half-term week, children over 12, but under 18 will be welcome free of charge. Gentlemen wearing red trousers will also be especially welcome!

Various events are being planned for the year ahead - hopefully something to suit everyone - so do keep an eye on our website. Details of the Golf Day at Kingswood Golf & Country Club on July 9 will be posted soon and we are planning a day at a 1st Class cricket match and a Dinner at Lords later in the year. A series of Osprey Talk, Walk & Breakfasts and a Garden Safari Supper will take place in Rutland during the summer.

Thank you all for your amazing support over the last months and we look forward to seeing you on February 18 and/or later in the year.
